MOGAD in the Mountain West: Epidemiology and Outcomes in Pediatric and Adult Patients at Two Large Academic Referral Centers

Objective To describe the characteristics and outcomes in adult pediatric patients diagnosed with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) at two major referral centers Mountain West of United States, a geographic area encompassing roughly 15% land mass continental US. Background Since development commercial assays, MOGAD has become increasingly recognized as an etiologic diagnosis for several CNS demyelinating phenotypes, yet epidemiological characteristics, relapse rates large populations are not well-described Design/Methods A retrospective chart review within health systems University Utah Colorado, affiliated children's hospitals, was conducted. identify patients, we queried ICD10 codes corresponding to CNS, neuromyelitis optic spectrum disease, neuritis, transverse myelitis, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis. These were then cross matched against antibody testing results existing research databases each institution.
